HSCCV Track Day Information

Winton 2001

There are now two sanctioning organisations offering insurance to car clubs running track events, which in turn impacts what entrants need to have. (Note that organising clubs can add other requirements)

The first body is AASA. It offers cheaper licences and usually simpler vehicle requirements . The disadvantages are that you cannot use a AASA licence at a CAMS sanctioned event and have fewer tracks (currently no access to Phillip Island and Sandown) to run on as a consequence. Probably the best option for the first timers.

The second body is CAMS. It offers a greater range of tracks, and it's licence is also accepted at AASA events, but does cost more.

Approved fire extinguishers and mounting brackets (mount on existing bolts) for both S2000 and Integra Type R are available through the club. Contact: Bill at brackets at hsccv.org.au

You can usually enter other clubs events, but, again, they may have other requirements to the above.

HSCCV currently runs it's events under AASA to minimise vehicle requirements, it also makes it easier to allow passengers in vehicles.
